Install
Significant known issuesFirst issueWhen you add a new language, you need to recycle the DC. You cannot e.g. edit labels in multiple languages. Install (You need to know this before installing)The installer is completely new. Please make sure you know how to utilize it to its full potential. Web Install (You need to know this before web installing)This functionality has been removed. You need to use the main installer now. DC 4.9.0 |
Significant known issuesFirst issueWhen you replace an asset through the DC GUI, the resulting "new" asset will not be put in the "old" asset's location (that is, the location of the asset you're replacing), but instead in the folder which you're uploading the "new" asset. This is the case whether you're retaining the old metadata or not. Replacing from the Media Manager will not do this, as it'll simply replace the asset in the folder it's located in. This is the case, even if the asset is located in another folder than "Content" (Folder ID 40)
Second issueYou cannot install the DC with Windows Authentication.

Image Removed
to the table named "digimonitor_customer_trigger_events_allowignore_rules". Without this, changing the thumbnail of a video will not work.
Install (You need to know this before installing)As of 4.8.0, RGB is not a color space option anymore. This wasn't communicated out (afaik) so I'm noting it down. Updating will not remove it. RGB produced dark images. Web Install (You need to know this before web installing)Update (You need to know this before updating)The new batch (3.2.0) has the newest versions of FFMPEG and Image Magick. One or both of these two are utilizing new profile formats (XML). Therefore you must check all custom made formats after update, to see if they work. Niels Erik Knudsen (Unlicensed) and Andre Creosteanu (Unlicensed) you two might have more knowledge on this than me - please edit this if you have changes. | ||||||||||||

Then make the following ItemWatcher workflows active:
-Republish asset when Frameaccurate Thumbnail is changed (Will make video thumbnail replace work)
-Republish asset when crop is changed (Will make video thumbnail crop replace work - currently, it has issues - but for the future, this should be enabled.)

- The job system has an issue, that makes cropping video thumbnails not work correctly. The image you've chosen will be the current image, but the cropping will not occur.
