CCC6.1 Upload asset(s)

If the user wants to take full advantage of the additional features offered by Digizuite when working with assets in the Adobe CC products, it is possible to upload new assets into the DAM directly through the Adobe CC Connector.

Upload from disk and drag and drop upload using the same approach as Media Manager.

See Media Manager documentation for upload

Things to be aware of

Adobe products cannot have broken, local or embedded links in the document, if the user wishes to upload the active document. (See section “Link Manager“ to resolve the issue(s))

Upload active document

To upload a new document to the DAM, click the menu icon and then select ‘Upload document’.

The document must be saved before it can be uploaded. A prompt will be shown, if this is not the case.

There are two options available:

  1. Uploading the document as a new asset in Digizuite

  2. Replacing the existing asset, if the document is already an existing asset in Digizuite.

When the document has been uploaded, it can be seen as one of the assets.

Replace an active document

To replace the document, the active document must already have been uploaded to the DAM, just like in the first place and the prompt will be shown, if this condition hasn’t been met..

This time, the user should select the second option: ‘Replace asset’.

When the ‘Replace asset’ button has been clicked, the user is notified with the following confirmation:

When the document has been replaced, it can be seen in the asset list with the changes.

Upload/Replace an individual asset in Photoshop

To upload/replace a new version of an individual asset in Photoshop, you first have to insert the asset (in your prefered format).

If there is no active document when an asset is inserted then a document will be created before the asset is inserted. This was changed in 5.8

After the asset have been inserted, then you click “Layers” button and right-click the asset you want to modify and click the “Edit contents” button

Then you can perform the modification(s) to the asset.

When the necessary have been made, then you can upload or replace the asset in the “Upload document” menu
