The recommended image size for the hero banner is 1500px width and 200px height.

The image is displayed at full width above the asset list and will adjust to different screen sizes by scaling from the centre. To make sure the important parts of your image are still visible when viewed on smaller screens, choose an image with this information placed in the middle.
