Download request workflow exists to support the usage-related step in the asset lifecycle in terms of coordination of tasks between the users. What is described in this section is the most typical use case for this kind of workflow, where a user makes a request to download an asset and then the request is either approved or rejected based on the information provided by the requesting user.

Note

This is just an example of a correctly configured download request workflow. There are many building blocks available for both workflows and automations to best accommodate the needs of our users.

The description of the use case is divided into two sections.

is intended for an administrative user who is responsible for setting up the workflow and related automations.

is intended for everyday users involved in the workflow to understand the flow of the tasks.
