OC6.0 Configuring Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
The OC supports inserting transcoded Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign images.
Note that users will see Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign assets in the Office Connector even if this hasn't been configured. However, they won't be able to insert them before the following configurations have been done:
Media Manager Configuration
Firstly, the configuration for the download qualities has to be enabled. Open your Media Manager and go to General settings → Download qualities.
From the dropdown, select the download qualities and select the desired qualities to be generated, as illustrated in the image below:
DAM Configuration
The download qualities registered in the previous step must now be made available for each of the profiles.
Open your DAM and go to System tools → Profiles.
The default profiles used for the three file types are: “Mediaportal Photoshop,” “Mediaportal Illustrator,” and “InDesign.” Note that these profiles are the same profiles used in the corresponding installation of Media Manager 5 (MM) since the Office Connector doesn’t have its own profiles. Extend the format qualities for each of the three profiles to include the qualities registered in the Media Manager configuration.
InDesign files can’t be successfully transcoded to all qualities. Of the image qualities provided by the system only the “JGP Small transcode” works.
All image qualities should work for both Photoshop and Illustrator.
After the qualities have been set for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign assets, they have to be republished before they can be insertable in the Office Connector.
