CCC5.9 CM Overview

The cache manager is a management tool intended to improve the management of files that have been downloaded to the cache. The cache manager provides users with an overall view of the files they have in their cache and allows them to delete individual asset qualities or the entire cache.

Default view

1 - Top bar

2 - Back button to the previous page

3 - Breadcrumbs

4 - Tools related to the cache manager view

5 - Cached assets/files

6 - Pagination

In the cache manager, the user can see all the cached assets in list view.

The cache manager contains the following elements:

  • Multi selection button in the top bar, when more than one asset/file is selected

  • A free-text search button to search for the title, assetId or extension of (an) inserted asset(s)

  • A ‘Refresh’ button to refresh the page in case of a change. Every time a new asset is cached while the cache manager is open, the ‘Refresh’ button has to be clicked to update the table

  • A sort button to sort the inserted assets/files based on ‘Latest’, ‘Oldest’, ‘A-Z’ or ‘Z-A’

  • A open cache button to the cache in Explorer/Finder

  • A ‘Settings’ button that allows the user to enable or disable background download of the high-quality of the asset inserted in the active document

  • A dropdown to handle the multi selection of assets

The high quality is defined on the MM5 config Manager:

  • Images (Creative cloud connector - High insert quality)

  • Videos (Creative cloud connector - Video high insert quality)

If a quality has not been defined for images, videos or both, the high quality version will not be downloaded for the corresponding empty field.

List view

  1. Title column (Selection button, thumbnail and the title of the asset/file)

  2. Filetype of the asset/file

  3. The date the asset was downloaded to the cache

  4. The date the asset was last used

  5. Actions (Overview of qualities downloaded for the asset/file, open cache for the asset)

All columns in the table can be sorted and reordered to fit the user's preferences.
