Create a metagroup with needed fields
First of all let's create a group that will contain all your needed fields. Let's assume you want a metagroup in which you want to note the last changes of an asset.
- Go to System tools → Metadata → Shared. From there, press on the Add button and create a new metagroup.
Configure the metagroup
- Navigate to the created group and press the Add button.
- A pop-up window will appear where you will have to complete with the Name of the field and the Field type.
Assign created metagroup to the metadata editor
- Once the above steps have been successfully completed, navigate to System tools → Metadata → Asset → Shared and select All asset types.
- Press the Add button and add a new metagroup (that will act as a subgroup – see /wiki/spaces/DD/pages/42303737) and assign it to Last Changes metagroup. Select from the dropdown menu Metagroup.
- The created metagroup will show up in the middle panel. Select it and configure it as needed.
