1 Requirements for Installing Digizuite™ DAM Center - DAM v4.6.1

MSI installer requires that there are no other Digizuite products installed on the server before starting the installation process.
1.1 Web server
- A Windows 2008 R2 Server or a Windows 2012 R2 Server
- Access to the server with administrative rights
- Minimum 500 MB hard disk space
- Internet Information Server 7 or higher
- ASP.NET 4.5.1 framework or higher

- Press Download and install.

- Microsoft® System CLR Types for SQL Server® 2008 R2

- Expand Install instructions and scroll down to "Microsoft® System CLR Types for SQL Server® 2008 R2". Chose correct version for environment (most likely x64) and install.
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64)

In the Server Manager tool, press the label saying 2: Add roles and features, press Next thrice, and add the following roles and features:

1.2 Database server
- A Windows 2008 R2 Server or a Windows 2012 R2 Server

- Default + full-text service
- Note: Can be checked in Server 2014 Management Studio under SQL Server Integration Services 12.0. If you are able to see SQL Full-text Filter Daemon Launcher (MSSQLSERVER), you fulfill this requirement.
- Security model integrated (Windows) and SQL Server
- Note: Can be checked in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio by right clicking the server's name, selecting Properties → Security and choosing the radio button SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode.
- TCP/IP enabled
- Note: Can be checked in SQL Server 2014 Configuration Manager under SQL Native Client 1.0 Configuration → Client Protocols. If it says TCP/IP is enabled, you fulfill the requirement.
- Default + full-text service
- Access to the SQL server with administrative rights (sa user)
1.3 Storage
- A Windows 2008 R2 Server or a Windows 2012 R2 Server
- Shared UNC / CIFS storage area (From now on referred to with the variable #assetstorage#)
- Minimum 16GB hard disk space
- Minimum 7GB RAM memory
1.4 DigiBatch
- A Windows 2008 R2 Server or a Windows 2012 R2 Server
- Access to the server with administrative rights
- Minimum 16 GB hard disk space
- ASP.NET 4.6.2 framework
1.5 Client
- Windows - Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome

All browsers and platforms assume the latest release versions unless stated otherwise.
1.6 Domain users
The Digizuite™ setup needs two domain users. Both users must be system-users, meaning that their passwords must never expire. If it is not possible to create domain users, then create local users with same names and same passwords across the WEB server, the BATCH server and the STORAGE server:
- Storage stream user (Installer defaults to username assetstream)
- Read file/share access to everything on storage
- Write file/share rights to the folders (exists after completion of the installation):
- Example: #assetstorage#\DMM\Upload
- Example: #assetstorage#\DMM\FtpUpload
- System user (Installer defaults to username "digibatch")
- Full file/share access to the storage
- Example: #assetstorage#
- Must be able to start Windows services on the WEB server and the BATCH server
- Must be a part of the group: "Performance Monitor Users"
- Full file/share access to the storage
Note: #assetstorage# refers to either the local storage (Example: D:\Storage) or to an UNC path if this is a multiple server installation (Example: \\<servername>\<share>)
1.7 DNS lookup
To perform the Digizuite™ installation and have the Digizuite™ ready for operation, you need to determine any of the URLs below required for your specific setup AND create the necessary DNS records:
