DSMC 5.5 Overview

Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a leading Digital Marketing Automation and Analytics software. One of the major features of MC is Email Marketing and how to build amazing campaigns for your customers (https://www.salesforce.com/eu/products/marketing-cloud/email-marketing/).

The Digizuite Salesforce MC connector makes you benefit from all your on-brand and consistent assets from a single source of truth. Use the Digizuite Content Block to easily search, filter or browse the assets you need and then drag it into your template.

Supported Use-cases

The Digizuite Salesforce MC Connector supports the following use-cases

• Searching, browsing and filtering assets to find exactly what assets are needed

• Clicking on assets and seeing their metadata as well as getting a link to Media Manager.

• Adding Digizuite Images, Videos or link other assets from the Digizuite Content Block to the template

  • Select the exact rendition and format of your asset to fit your needs

  • Easily specify width, height, alignment and padding

• Uploading the asset to salesforce directly from the connector so assets are served from your own salesforce instance.

  • You have full control. If the assets is replaced in the DAM, then it will be indicated when you click the asset in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You can then choose to update the asset also in Salesforce.

  • Pre-requisite for the logic to figure out if the asset is out of date is that your destination 10016 is a No Security Destination as presented under installation (DSMC 5.5 Installation )

Supported:

• Image (jpg, png, ect)

  • Renders the image in the template

• Other assets but only as a downloadable links

How it works:

First go to Content Builder and either create or edit an email template.

Replacing Assets

After an image was replaced, salesforce require some short time (around 5 minutes) it to be updated, so usually we wont see the changes at once. But as soon it is updated, we can see the changes with MC Connector.

Testing

During testing the solution the situation with not existing source might arise. It is not customer issue and could be easily fixed by clearing cache
