MM 4.10.1

New asset preview, password reset functionality, bugfixes and more!

New asset preview

The asset preview has been completely reworked to make Media Manager the experience easier. Not only does this contain all the features the asset preview has had in 4.9.1, but now it has the ability to edit the asset's metadata right from the preview!

How to access it

The feature can be accessed by clicking on any asset in Media Manager.

How it works

The new asset preview has it's main menu on the right hand side.

To access these on mobile, you must click the ☰ icon on the top left corner of the screen.

Clicking the button opens the menu taking up the entire screen. The desktop options are now available from the right hand side.

How to configure it

The guide for configuring the asset info shown in the asset preview can be found in the DAM Center documentation, section 3.2.1.1 Add new meta data field to Media Manager's Asset Preview.

Password reset

With this release of Media Manager, we are improving the way password resets are handled and adding extra security.

How to access it

Password reset may be accessed via the Sign in screen once enabled.

How it works

To request a password reset, type in your username and press Next. You will soon recieve an email containing a random number to process your reset. Please note that the reset request is only valid for 10 minutes by default.

Note

If your account was created by an administrator and no email was provided, you will not be able to reset your password.

Once you have recieved the email, simply enter the code from said email, as well as your new password. Once you press Next, you are good to go!

How to configure it

To enable/disable password reset, you must simply check Forgot Password in the ConfigManager for the Media Manager.

Task manager uploading

Task manager now supports upload via drag-and-drop, like the upload page.

How to access it

When one or more assets are being uploaded/processed, the Task Manager option becomes available from the Upload menu.

How it works

Simply drag a file from your computer onto the Task Manager area.

How to configure it

Zoom in/out buttons now available directly from asset preview

The zoom buttons can now be accessed from the main view of the asset preview, without needing to open any separate menu.

How to access it

Open the preview for an image. The buttons to control zoom can be found at the bottom left corner.

How it works

The (plus) icon zooms in on the center of the image, while (minus) zooms out.
