AĀ meta field groupĀ contains 0-manyĀ meta field definitions as well as 0-manyĀ meta field groups.Ā 

TheĀ meta field groups can be found in theĀ DAM CenterĀ ā†’Ā System toolsĀ ā†’ Metadata.

It isĀ importantĀ to select the correct meta field group. Depending on the meta field group, a meta data field may be used in different contexts. A primeĀ example of this is the "Keywords" meta fields. Ā There is a "Keywords"Ā meta data field in theĀ meta data field groupĀ AssetĀ ā†’ ImagesĀ ā†’ IPTC and another "Keywords"Ā meta data field in the group AssetĀ ā†’ SharedĀ ā†’ All asset types.

TheĀ IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) meta field is used to hold very specificĀ keywords defined by the IPTC. As such aĀ user cannot edit or add to any IPTCĀ meta data fields. Such a meta data field is used exclusively forĀ images.Ā 

The "All asset types"Ā meta data field isĀ extremelyĀ dynamic compared to the IPTC one: This meta data field may be applied to anyĀ asset andĀ anyĀ keywords may be added or removed from thisĀ meta data fieldĀ by anyĀ users with write-access.
