MM5.9 Intro Screen

Intro Screen

When the user first enters Media Manager 5, and login is not required in order to access the application, they are presented with three possibilities (configured in the DAM Center):

  • The Guest Area;

  • The default splashscreen, where the user must press ‘Continue’ button to enter the site (by default it is a white background, but it can be changed to an image or video through settings);

  • Disclaimer text and the button ‘Accept.’

Guest Area

In some cases, there are assets available to be seen by anyone with the link to the application. The public can then access so-called Guest Area. Guest Area is the application in read-only mode and with limited functionality:

User who can only access Guest Area and does not possess login information is called Guest. The rights of a Guest user will be described in more detail in the next section "User Profiles".

Log In

If the Media Manager is configured to ask for login credentials, the user will be presented with a login dialog upon loading the application. If a guest page is available, the user needs to click in the upper right corner to access the login option.

The login dialog will open in the center of the screen.

The following information is required:

  • Username – insert the username provided to you by the local administrator

  • Password – insert the password provided to you by the local administrator.

Once the correct information is filled in, the user needs to press ‘Log in’ to sign in to the system.

Note: If the inserted username and/or password are incorrect, the user will get and error. In case the error persists, the user should check:

  • the email and follow the activation link

  • that the user has been approved inside Digizuite DAM Center.

If the user is logging in via SSO, they should select ‘Login with SSO’ instead and follow the instructions dependent on the SSO method.

Language

It is possible to change the language inside the login box by selecting one of the available one from the drop-down list under the username and password.

Media Manager is available in any language configured by the system administrator. There are two primary methods of changing the language:

  1. by clicking the profile picture in the upper right corner and selecting a different language from a drop-down list;

  2. by going into “General settings” under ‘Settings’ menu, then ‘Language’ section, and finally selecting a different language from a drop-down list.

Note: Dependent on how the system is configured, i.e. if splashscreen is enabled, the user can also change the language of the Media Manager from the lower right corner of the screen.
