Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Digizuite Media Manager , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for Digizuite Media Manager:
New user uploads: Uploaded assets may lack suitable text alternatives, potentially hindering instant accessibility for all users. Additionally, the title of the asset may not always provide adequate context for the image because we are unable to ensure that user-generated content meets the requirements. While we can't guarantee immediate accessibility of user-generated content, we're continuously working on implementing user-friendly reminders and guidelines to ensure content accessibility. If you find any missing or inadequate text alternatives, report them to your company's DAM responsible. For issues related with the Digizuite media manager, use the provided feedback options.
Pre-recorded video and audio content: Pre-recorded video and audio content lack accessible captions, transcripts, sign language and/or audio descriptions. because The Digizuite Media Manger does not meet WCAG standards (A and AA) at the moment. We recognize these limitations and remain dedicated to continuously working towards achieving compliance with WCAG standards. Utilize alternative software capable of automatically generating captions, transcripts, sign languages, and audio descriptions. You should also report missing information to your company's DAM responsible. For issues related with the Digizuite media manager, use the provided feedback options.
Label and field association when in edit mode within asset metadata: When editing metadata text fields, users might find that a form label is missing, which helps associate the activated edit field with its context because of complex coding within the software (e.g., the title "Description" and the dedicated field for editing the description). We're aware of the issue and remain dedicated to continuously working towards achieving compliance with WCAG standards. For the moment, utilize the aria-label attribute with the fields' dedicated edit button to provide context for the associated field. This feature remains accessible both before and during edit mode activation.
Keyboard navigation: Users may face keyboard navigation difficulties, like needing multiple clicks to access areas or navigating between features. These challenges arise from complex software structures and diverse use case requirements, making it tricky to establish the optimal structure. While keyboard navigation is currently accessible throughout the Digizuite Media Manager, we are committed to further enhancing the user experience and addressing all scenarios effectively. Reduce navigation clicks by utilizing the search functionality.
