CCC5.6 Asset search

All assets that are available from the Creative Cloud Connector, can be found on the asset overview main page.

Apart from browsing through the available assets in a traditional way, there exist several other methods to quickly locate the asset the user is looking for.

Folder navigation

Video: folder navigation

All assets can be a added to the folders and subfolders found at the top of the Creative Cloud Connector.

When an asset is added to a folder, it is still visible from the asset overview main page - i.e. nothing has been moved. Instead, it can now be located in two different locations: the asset overview main page and the folder.

The user can add an asset to all folders simultaneously, if needed.

The assets are organized in a multi-level folder structure. The folders and subfolders are the reflection of the the structure visible also in other Digizuite applications, and can be created and changed in the DAM Center.

The user can navigate the structure by clicking on folders and then subfolders to load their contents. There are two ways to go back:

  • by clicking the back arrow in the upper left corner

  • by selecting the place to go back to from the navigation menu at the top.

Free-text search

In order to search for assets, click on the grey search box at the top. During the typing the results will appear in real time.

To exit the search, click on "Cancel" next to the search box and the application will return to the default view.

Filtering

The below only shows filtering on asset type but from 5.5.4 it is now possible to also have custom filtering as know from the Media Manager so any kind of metadata can be filtered on.

The user can filter the content by asset type. It is possible to select more than one asset type at a time.

Once the user has selected all the desired filters, they need to click Apply in order to for the filters to take into effect. In order to remove the filters, the user needs to click the button Clear filters in the upper right corner of the filters modal.

Sorting

The user can choose in which order the assets are displayed, based either on upload date or title. There are four possibilities available:

  • Newest first

  • Oldest first

  • Title A-Z

  • Title Z-A.
