Required configuration to make the app work correctly
A new version of the Mobile ConfigManager needs to be created to ensure that future updates will not clear your custom configuration
In the DAM Center, go to System tools → ConfigManager
Press the plus button of Digizuite™ Mobile to expand the node
Click on the node named "Default"
In the upper right corner, type in the name you wish for this node to have. The name is inconsequential and could e.g. just be called “Mobile“
Press Create new version and you’re done
The “is public” field is different from the Media Manager by default
Go to ConfigManager → Digizuite Mobile → Default → Current version → Searches
Select the Framework Search, Copy the ID and Delete "Mobile/Is Public" in Input
Create "Options/Is Public" in Input
Create "asset.DerivedFrom" and “asset.ReplacedWith“ in Input
This is to ensure crops and replaces isn't returned in the search
Copy ID and Delete "Mobile/Is Public" in Output
Create "Options/Is Public" in Output
Copy ID and Delete "Mobile/Is Public" in Output and create "Options/Is Public" for
GetAssetById
GetAssetByBasketId
DigiZuite_System_Framework_My_Favorites
Make collection-sharing work from the app
If you’re connecting your app to a pre-5.6.0 DAM Center and Media Manager, then you need to go update a search, so that recipients can load assets on collection links they recieve.
Again, go to your ConfigManager for the Mobile, and navigate to the version that you created. E.g. Digizuite™ Mobile → Default → “Mobile”.
In here, navigate to the Searches tab, and open the search named GetAssetsByBasketId.
Go to the Output tab of the search, and press the Add button
Go to “Table and column“ and set the following values (As the image also shows):
Choose table = Item
Choose column = itemGuid
ID = itemGuid
Press Save
…and you’re done!
Ensure that a specific video quality is enabled
The format "Tablet H264 2048kbit ffmpeg" is used in the mobile video player
Ensure the format is enabled and added to the profile
Create a custom app for the customer
Once the configuration is done in the DAM center, information about the customer must be sent to LET Software. The information can be found:
iOS: 1355 - Build Digizuite™ Mobile app for iOS - new
Android: /wiki/spaces/PP/pages/850952193
SSO - only if using the generic app
In order to enable the SSO login, please modify the MobileAppConfiguration.json file in the following way:
Navigate to the file and open it.
Make sure that “SSOLoginMode” line in the document is set to true.
Save the changes in the file.
SSO settings are build-in into custom apps and cannot be edited from any settings.
Filters
Enabling filters
In order to enable the filters, your need to enable Solr.
In order to enable Solr, please follow these steps:
Open the DAM Center.
Navigate to ConfigManager → Digizuite Mobile → Default → Current version → Searches → DigiZuite_System_Framework_Search.
Tick the box next to Use Solr and press Save.
Go back to the list of searches and click the Gear icon next to the newly modified search. The population of the search data will be initiated.
Please note that if Solr is not enabled, filters will not work.
Adding new filters
New filters can be added to the app in the same way it is done in Media Manager:
Open the DAM Center.
Navigate to ConfigManager → Digizuite Mobile → Default → Current version → Searches → DigiZuite_System_Framework_Search.
Follow the guide under DC 5.5 Change Media Manager's search filters, starting at the third step.
