5.5 Breaking changes - E-mails

The old Digimonitor workflow engine was also responsible for sending e-mails using a set of pre-defined e-mail templates. With the removal of Digimonitor this must be handled and migrated.

Default e-mail templates

All out of the box default e-mail templates has been migrated. These are now located in the Media Manager under Settings/Config Manager.

Custom e-mail templates

All custom e-mail templates cannot be automatically migrated as the format has changed significantly. For that reason custom e-mail templates must be migrated manually.

The customization done here, should be done in the existing e-mail templates found in Media Manager under Settings/Config Manager.

The new e-mail templates uses a templating system called Scriban. We refer to their documentation on how the language works.

New options

With 5.5, we’ve also introduced a Send mail option in Automations where data from automation can be parsed to a mail template.
