DC 5.4 Digizuite™ DAM Center Interface

The interface of the DigizuiteTM DAM Center is divided into three primary areas:

  • To the left you will see the menus' which allow the user to navigate around in the system.
  • The assets are displayed in the center. You can select two displays here: Box and List view.
  • To the right are the areas where metadata editing of assets takes place.

The left and right side panels can have their width adjusted by dragging the divider. They can also be completely collapsed, allowing you to focus on one area at a time.

The search field in the top bar allows you to search for assets in the catalog. Enter some text in the field (you can leave it empty, which will return all assets in the catalog), then click on the search icon or press Enter.

This takes you to the search page, where you can narrow your search further by adding filters to it. By default, three filters are present. Asset type allows you to select one or more asset types to filter by. Upload date can be set to return assets that were uploaded between two places in time. Free text searches for any text in title, id, description and keywords (can be configured).

In the top right of the DAM Center you will find the application menu. Open it by clicking on the hamburger icon. You will get four options: Help, System info, User and Logout. Help will take you to this guide, System info displays the version of your DAM Center, User allows you to view and edit your user information, and Logout closes your session and takes you to the login screen.

The left panel is for navigating and editing folder structure. The panel consists of four different trees (could be less depending on roles): Running jobs, Catalog, Channels and System tools.

Some nodes in the trees are static and cannot be changed (most non-folders in System tools). The other (most of the nodes with a folder icon) can be edited and moved around. When right-clicking on a folder a menu will appear, with all the different actions related to it. You can also drag a folder and drop it in another, to move it there. If you wish to move a folder to the root folder, drop it on the header (where it says Catalog and Channels in the above screenshots).

The center panel displays the assets belonging to the selected folder (or search). As seen above, the top bar has a few ways for how to display the data. The first switch button changes the view from box to list view. The filter text field provides a quick way to do a free text search in the current folder. The sorting button allows you to sort on different metadata, and the paging button sets how many results you want per page (both are configurable).

Each asset has a gear icon that can be clicked to expand a menu as seen to the right. This is where you can set rights on an asset, delete the asset, publish the asset and so forth. Multiple assets can be selected, and the available actions will be shown in the bottom bar. Drag to other folders is also possible.
