The Digizuite™ DAM Center administration panel offers an easy security management system where each folder can be setup up with individual permissions to allow limited access to content inside.

Permissions can be set for either individual users or groups. It is recommended to use only groups as the amount of users in the Digizuite™ DAM Center tends to grow over time, hence making it easier to administrate fewer large groups rather than individual users.

With a well-designed setup, managing folders and permissions can be a very simple task even over extended periods of time e.g. a year or more.

To set permissions, select the desired folder in the Channels area and right-click on the selected folder. From the opened menu, select Edit folder rights. From this window, the folder can be specified to allow access for a single user or a user group.

  • Select the members from the Members drop-down menu
  • Select the groups from the Member group drop-down menu
  • Press Save to access list

The specified user or group is now added to the safe list and may view the contents of the folder.

Note: To apply specified permissions to subfolders, click Apply access list to all sub items.

Note: To overwrite any permissions already in place with the ones specified, click Replace access list to all sub items.
