Configure buttons
The administrative user has the ability to configure the elements of an asset card in Media Manager and connectors.
From version 5.7 this can be done from the Media Manager UI. Navigate to ‘Settings’ (1) → ‘General settings’ (2) → ‘Asset card’ (3).
There are a number of options that can be configured for Media Manager and Digizuite connectors separately, and other options that are configured for all products.
Media Manager/Connectors settings
It is possible to select which actions should be easiest to access by having them featured as buttons on asset cards. Thanks to this, the most frequently used actions can be performed with just one click/tap.
The administrator can select up to 4 separate buttons to be visible on the asset card. The actions can be added or removed from the asset card by clicking on the star symbol. The rest of the of the actions will be accessible in the ‘More’ menu.
It is also possible to re-order the available actions by dragging them by the handle symbol on the far right.
Click ‘Save’ to confirm the changes or 'Cancel to discard them.
Configure description field
When it comes to the settings shared by Media Manager and connectors, the administrator can configure what text will be displayed under the title on the asset card. If no text type metadata field is selected, the content of ‘Description’ field will be displayed by default.
To replace the default value, the user needs to click on the ‘Add field’ under ‘Asset card subtitle’ and select the new metadata field from the available options.
Click ‘Save’ to confirm the changes or 'Cancel to discard them.
It is always possible to revert to default settings by selecting ‘Factory reset’ at the bottom of the settings’ panel.
Configure crop indication
An additional row can be shown on the asset card, giving information about related crops.
To show or hide this row, go to ‘Settings > Portal Config Manager > Configuration > Default’ section. This setting is enabled by default, meaning the crop indication is shown.
When enabled, the Crop info, will display one these states
No crops / No trims
Show crops / Show trims
When clicking the ‘Show …’ link, a window is opened showing all related cropsEmpty space
If an asset can not have crops e.g. Office documents
