This page describes the recommended method for installing the Creative Cloud Connector.

This step can be performed at any time, independently of the remaining installation process.

Installation process

This installation method involves using a 3rd party extension manager AEScripts Adobe ZXP Extension Manager.

Step 1

Download the installer for the extension manager from the AEScripts website for either Mac or Windows: https://aescripts.com/knowledgebase/index/view/faq/zxp-installer-faq/ .

Run the installer and follow the prompts.

If you are not the system administrator, once the installation process is finished, please navigate to the ZXP Installer's settings and ensure that ‘Install for current user only (when possible)’ is enabled.

Step 2

Open ZXP Installer.

Select ‘File’ → ‘Open…’ OR use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+O (Windows) or Command+O (Mac).

Step 3

Find the ZXP package provided by your Digizuite consultant in the file browser and click ‘Open’

Step 4

The following prompt will appear:

Select ‘Install’

Step 5

You will now receive a notification "creative-cloud was successfully installed".

Step 6

  1. You can then follow the steps on this page to access Digizuite Adobe Creative Cloud Connector - CCC5.7 User Guides.

Windows only:

Please place the files only in ‘Program Files’ location. Putting the files both in ‘Program Files’ and ‘Program Files x86’ locations will likely result in errors further into the installation process.

Selection of config manager version

This new version of the connector uses the Media Manager 5's (MM5) Config Manager, as opposed to previously, where the Creative Cloud Connector (CCC) had its own version in the Config Manager.

There are two ways you can point the CCC to a Config Manager version:

  1. Use the MM5's Config Manager version by pointing to the MM5's url.

  2. Use a CCC-only Config Manager version, by pointing to a new proxy website you create.
