2.13.1 Use of filters

The user can find the assets with the selected properties (for example asset type, upload date) by using filters.

The user can access the panel with the filters on the right by clicking the button "Show Filters". Filters can be expanded and collapsed individually, and additionally it is possible to configure which filters are open or closed by default in the DAM Center.

The number of results is shown next to filter values already prior to executing the seach. The user can apply several filters at once and the number of results updates in real time.

Additionally, there is a number of search boxes available in the filters panel. The one placed right under the header of the panel serves as a supplementary global free-text search tool that further narrows down the results. The search boxes under the individual filters are a tool for quickly finding values within that filter.

The user can close the panel by clicking "Hide Filters".

It is also possible to cancel the search by clicking "Clear filters".

2.13.2 Filter personalization

The user can individually customize the filters in the system, independent of the general configuration. In order to adjust the filters to own needs, the user needs to click the three dots next to the header and then select "Reorder and customize". This will initialize the edit mode.

The user can hide the filters, re-order them and change the sorting of the values within the individual filters.

To change the order of the filters, the user needs to place the mouse pointer over the three lines next to the filter that should be appear higher or lower on the list, click on the icon and hold, while dragging the filter up or down. Clicking "Apply" will save the changes.

To temporarily hide or show the filters, the user needs to click the three dots icon to access more actions, and then select either "Show" or "Hide". The filters that are hidden are greyed out in the edit mode and will not appear on the list once the user exits the mode. Clicking "Apply" will save the changes.

To sort the values within individual filters, the user needs to click the three dots icons to access more actions, and then select one of the two available sorting options: alphabetically or by usage. Clicking "Apply" will save the changes.

Note

The changes to the filters are currently specific to the device that they have been saved on.
