This chapter will explain in details the functionalities of Digizuite™ Video Portal.
Type of users
Each Digizuite™ DAM system instance has its own database of users that are created into the system by the DAM Center admins. Each user can have a username, password and a role/access right.
There are four types of users that can use the Video Portal: guest, member, contributor and administrator.
Guest
The Video Portal is available for Guest users (that are not logged-in) in a read-only mode depending on whether the videos were made available for public viewers when they were uploaded, or private for logged in users.
Guest users can search for videos, watch them and share on social network. For the ability to download, add to favorites or write a comment they will be requested to login if they have a membership credentials.
Member
Members are logged in members that can use the site's content but not able to change or add anything to the portal other than comments.
Contributer
Contributors are members who share the same functionality as viewers do, except that they can upload videos and manage their own videos.
Admin
Admins are super users who can act as viewers, contributors and yet be able to change the portal's settings as will be described in this document. In general, the role of each user is only a matter of access right that can be set from the DAM Center.
