Portals administration section comprises of variety of portal-related settings.
In order to access the portal config manager, navigate to ‘Adminstration’ → ‘Portals’.
Mail templates, HTML templates and crop presets can be configured globally, for all the portals at once, if that is the user’s wish (1).
Otherwise, the user needs to select the version of the portal the configuration should be done for by selecting the correct option from the list on the left side of the page. It is also possible to directly configure the portal the settings are accessed from by clicking on the ‘Select current’ button in the center of the page.
The user has now several configuration options, divided into tabs: configuration, labels, crop presets, mail templates and HTML templates. In order to quickly find a specific setting, the user can use the search box in the upper right corner of the page.

Labels
This section allows the administrative user to change the labels from default options to custom labels.
Firstly, the user needs to select the language of the labels, if there is more than 1 language configured for the portal.
Secondly, the user can change any label by editing the correct field in the column ‘Text’.
Thirdly, the user needs to click ‘Save’ in the upper right corner to keep the changes.
In order to quickly find a specific label, the user can utilize the search box in the upper right corner of the page.
Crop presets
This section allows the administrative user to manage crop presets available for the cropping tool.

Mail templates
This section allows the administrative user to manage mail templates. For more information, please refer to DC 5.8 Mail Templates.
To access instructions on how to create mail templates, click on ‘Show documentation’ button and further information will be displayed on the right side of the page.
HTML templates
This section allows the administrative user to manage HTML templates.
To access instructions on how to create HTML templates, click on ‘Show documentation’ button and further information will be displayed on the right side of the page.
Page footer
Add page footer content via the rich-text editor shown above. Populate the content field for each language by choosing the language selector.
To display the footer on the assets overview page, enable the setting ‘Show page footer’ in the Portal Config Manager > Configuration > Default section
Introscreen
The user can access the following settings in relation to the intro screen:
changing the background image, either using one of the assets already uploaded to the Media Manager or a new file from desktop
changing language
editing title and description in the selected language.
Theming
In this section, the user can decide the global color scheme for the Media Manager. The following can configure the following:
theme color
the color of the text on the buttons
top bar background color
top bar text color
If the Brand Portal feature is enabled, this setting can be found in the ‘Brand portals’ tab instead
Logo
In this section, the administrative user can configure separately the logo appearing in the header and on the login screen. The image for the logo can be either selected from the assets already uploaded to the Media Manager or uploaded from desktop.

Collections
This section contains additional configuration related to collections. In here, the administrative user can change which metadata fields are included with the shared asset by default. The default metadata field can then be modified by the user with each sharing operation.
Asset search
This section contains additional configuration related to asset search.
Firstly, the administrative user can select which filters are visible by default to users logging in for the first time or after they reset the filter configuration.
Default filters configuration determines what guest users can see (if guest users are enabled), For guest users, item security is still respected. Hence, guests of the system will only be able to see the fields which they have access to.
Secondly, it is possible to define the criteria for the freetext search.
Asset info
In this section, the administrative user can define which metadata fields are shown in the ‘Asset info’ box.
Asset list
In this section, the administrative user can define which columns are displayed by default in list view of the asset list.
Asset card
In this section, the administrative user can design which information should be included on an asset card available to all the users in Media Manager and the connectors. Some options can be configured separately for Media Manager and the connectors, and other options are shared for both locations.
Download approval
This section is related to a specific workflow concerning download approval. If such a workflow has been previously set up by the administrative user, in this section the user can enable and disable the functionality of download request, select the correct workflow that should control it as well as configure a variety of options related to it.
