Analytics also provide the option to setup custom dashboards. This functionality is a little more advanced but allows the user that has the

  • Analytics_writer

role to setup custom dashboards that are personal to them.

Custom dashboards can only be populated with data in the support domains

  • Asset downloads

  • user logins

  • Collection shares

To add a custom dashboard click the button Add dashboard in the bottom left corner. This starts up a blank canvas on which dashboards can be added.

From here, by clicking the add item button in the top right corner, charts and tables can be added.

Each Item can be dragged around and resized to fit the users needs.

Once an Item has been added it must be edited. This can be done by clicking the small pencil icon in the top-right corner of each item. Doing this spawns an edit dialog in the right side of the screen

From here the setup always starts with selecting what statistics should be used. Again it is possible to choose between the three data sources (assets, logins and collection shares).

The editing possibilities change slightly depending on the selected statistics but in general there are two dimensions that needs to be addressed

  • Time dimension

    • Either this is just from a certain date to now or a selection of two dates.

  • Property dimension

    • This changes a lot depending on the selected statistics, but is reflecting what property of the selected statistic the chart or table should show. For instance this can be the Username of the person who logged in or the asset name of the asset downloaded.

The remaining configuration is specific to the chart or table type selected.

Once everything is configured the dashboard must be saved.
