The OC supports inserting transcoded Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign images.
Note that users will see Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign assets in the Office Connector even if this hasn't been configured. However, they won't be able to insert them before the following configurations have been done:
For each user group that should have the functionality enabled, do the following:
In the DAM Center, locate the group (e.g., “Groups → User type”)
Open the options for the located group by clicking it.
Locate the “Download Qualities” menu.
Ensure that the group has the desired download qualities registered for the type “Any.” If some are missing, add them. (See screenshot below.)
The suggested download qualities are:
JPG Small transcode
JPG medium transcode
JPG Full size transcode
PNG transparency transcode
The download qualities registered in the previous step must now be made available for each of the profiles. The default profiles used for the three file types are: “Mediaportal Photoshop,” “Mediaportal Illustrator,” and “InDesign.” Note that these profiles are the same profiles used in the corresponding installation of Media Manager 5 (MM) since the Office Connector doesn’t have its own profiles. For each of the three profiles, extend the format qualities to include the qualities registered in step 1 (see screenshot below).
InDesign files can’t be successfully transcoded to all qualities. Of the qualities mentioned above, only the “JGP Small transcode” works. All qualities should work for both Photoshop and Illustrator.
Make sure that existing Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign assets, which should be insertable in the OC, are republished.
