DCE 5.5 - How it works

The Digizuite Chrome Extension can be accessed from any tab in the Chrome Browser.

Examples of usage:

  • HubSpot

  • Gmail

  • Canva

  • Contentful

  • Optimizely Experimentation

  • … any website which needs assets and allow URL-based links for usage or upload

Prerequisite

Having a organizational license for the Extension for you to be able to enter credentials and URL. Talk to your Technical Account Manager and have it enabled today.

Where to find it

Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions and search for Digizuite. Simply click add it to chrome if you do not already have it.

For you to easily locate the extension after installation, it is recommended to pin it to the topbar as illustrated here:

Extension Options

Go to ‘Manage extensions’

Then press details on the Digizuite Connector

Click on ‘Extension Options’

How does it work

When the extension has been added then simply open a new tab, go to a website and then click the Digizuite icon (assuming that you have pinned it - otherwise open extension menu).

When you have the connector open, you will be asked to enter your Media Manager URL. Afterwards simply enter your username and password.

As an authenticated user, you will see the consistent UI/UX as you are so familiar with when it comes to Digizuite. As a right column, you now have access to all assets which can be filtered, browsed and searched for as you know it.

On clicking an asset, the URL will be copied and you can use it.

Things to be aware of

We recommend to have CDN if using URLs for high volume.

Without customization, the URLs will have an access key which expires. So after 24 hours the access is gone to that asset.

It is possible to customize and allow public destinations. Contact your Technical Account Manager to know more.
