DC 4.10.0 - 4.1.2 ADFS How users should look in the DC to enable automatic login

In order to make the DAM Center log you in automatically, you need to following to be set in the DAM Center for the user (See the image below)

The Username must be set to the above format. Using the company email here instead will not work. (Meaning "companydomain\mhm" or "COMPANYDOMAIN\mhm")

When you now login, you may, however, freely choose whether you'd like to input the following in the username/email section - where username is "mhm" in this example (See the highlighted field below):

You must not input

  • companydomain/mhm

As the forward slash will result in an error on the login page

It is strongly advised that the email field is filled out, as a lot of features in the DAM Center and satellite depend on this. However, if you're making this user for testing purposes, not having an email on the user is ok.

You must have the DAM Center user be exactly the same as a valid user in the AD

The user will not be created automatically in the DAM Center if it doesn't already exist in the system - like for example how our AAD configuration does. If your user is valid in the AD, but you haven't made a matching DAM Center user, you can still use e.g. the superadministrator user, which is supplied by default with the system
