2 Update DigiBatch - DAM v4.8.0
- Mathias Mattson (MHM)
Intro
With almost every new version of the Digizuite DAM Center, there is a new corresponding DigiBatch.
While older versions of the DigiBatch in some cases will still work with newer DAM Center versions,Ā this is not the recommended option, as there's a strong likelihood that unforeseen errors will occur.
2.1 Prerequisites
This version of the batch system requires the .NET Framework 4.6.2 is installed on the server.
2.2 Update DigiBatch
Have your new DigiBatch folder ready. These you will have received from your Digizuite Contact person.
The files in the folder should look like this:
Start the DigiBatch_Setup.exe executable
Press next
Wing off the checkbox for "I accept the terms ofĀ the License Agreement" and press Next
Press Next
By default, your DigiBatch user's username and domain will already exist. Write in your user's password as well, and press Next
Press Typical
Press Install
Wait for the installer to run to completion. It will look like this when it's done.
After it has completed, it'll look like the above image. Press Finish.
In some cases the DigiBatch updater has deleted the DigiBatch instances in order to resolve an update conflict.
To see if all your DigiBatch instances are still there, please open the built in Windows program named Services.
In here, your instances will be named DigiBatch ServiceĀ [X] (Where X is your DigiBatch Instance's title)
If you do not have these DigiBatch services, you'll have to do the following:
Open the program named "Configure DigiBatch"
Go to the tab named Services
Press the Add button
For each instance you want, add one entry to the list
Usually, you need to use a specific account. In cases like this, press the "This account" option, and type in the DigiBatch user's username and password
Press OK
Go to the "Active JobEngines" tab.
Here you should have all your new job engines and your DAM Center selected (in most cases there will only be one DAM Center in the left side list)
While both are selected, press the Enroll button
Now go back to the Services tab
Press the Start All button
It should now look like the above image.
Try uploading a new file, like an image. If your Job system shows anything in the green box, then your DigiBatch is up and running.
If you had any special configurations from before the update that you want to have implemented again (like some instances shouldn't take video, or PPTX handling capabilities), and you're unsure how to reimplement it, then please contact your Digizuite contact person.
