Default view (Grid view)

In the link manager, the user can see all the inserted assets in the active document either using the grid- or list view.

The link manager contains the following elements:

  • Multi selection button in the topbar when more than one asset/file is selected

  • A free text search button to search for the title, assetId or extension of an inserted asset(s)

  • A filter button to filter the inserted assets.

  • A refresh button to refresh the page in case of a change. Every time a new asset is inserted in the active document while the link manager is open, the refresh button has to be clicked to update the table

  • A sort button to sort the inserted assets/files based on Latest, Oldest, A-Z or Z-A

  • A dropdown to handle the multi-selection of assets

Asset card (Grid view)

  1. Asset/file thumbnail

  2. Quick asset/file info

  3. Overview of instances the same asset/file appear in the active document (based on assetId)

  4. More options (Depends on status of asset/file) (upload, relink, unembed, change quality, link to asset, go to asset, reveal in explorer/finder)

  5. Title of the asset/file

  6. Original filetype and size

  7. The current quality

  8. The status of the asset/file

In Indesign the more options also have the option to remove the asset/file from the active document

List view

  1. Title column (Selection button, thumbnail and title of the asset/file)

  2. Original filetype of asset/file

  3. The current quality of asset/file

  4. The status of the asset/file

  5. Actions (Quick asset/file info, overview of instances the same asset/file, more options)

All columns in the table can be sorted and reordered to fit the users preferences
