The current 5.5.2 version does not support OneDrive as the default connector needs access to either ‘My Documents’ folder on Windows . For now, the connector needs write access to that folder which is not the case for OneDrive setup.

The error shows itself when trying to enter the Media Manager URL. The error message is shown below but it reflects that we are not allowed to write the necessary configuration file to the My Documents folder.

A simple way to temporarily workaround or validate that you have this issue is to change the ‘My Documents’ folder to a local one that we would have write access to. You can then change back afterwards to the original one or restore to default.

Why do we need access and what do we store? In the documents folder, we are creating digizuite_files and the assets associated with the connector and then a folder (named after your media manager URL) where assets are stored.

Define a different Asset Location

Do you need a different asset location? We still need to store the digizuite_preferences as per above but the asset location can be elsewhere. All you need to do open the digizuite_preferences file and then add “assetLocation”: “C:\\MY_LOCATION\ASSET_FOLDER\\” and then restart the Creative Cloud Product you are using to use the new configuration.
