An icon in the lower right corner of the asset card indicates the asset's state. Hovering the cursor above this icon will show more info.

There are seven types of states across three color-coded categories:

Green states

For these, all items are correct statues; no actions required

Why one hits this state: The user has either inserted the asset themselves or has resolved all issues e.g. using the link manager.

Message in the system: ‘Locally linked and DAM linked’.

Yellow states

For these, the problem can be automatically corrected in the link manager

Red

The status column can have 5 different states as displayed in the screenshot above. The user can hover the mouse pointer over each icon to display the description of the state.

The available status types:

a checkmark icon indicates that the link is both locally linked and DAM linked, i.e. everything is working correctly

Why one hits this state: If the asset has been replaced (updated) in the DAM.

Message in the system: ‘Digizuite asset is outdated'.

Digizuite asset was replaced in the system.

Available action: ‘Relink’.

Yellow link

Why one hits this state: The asset does not have files in the local cache (storage).

Message in the system: ‘Digizuite content is unlinked'.

The link is broken, which means that the local path on the user’s computer cannot be found,

a clock icon indicates that the link is outdated, which means that the digizuite asset have been replaced in the DAM, which can be fixed by simply relinking the link to update the local storage to use the updated asset

Red states

For these, the problem cannot be resolved automatically in the link manager

Why one hits this state: The embedded item did not use to be an asset before being embedded.

Message in the system: ‘Local content is embedded, please unembed to use asset inside the link manager'.

The user needs to unembed the local asset before taking an action within the connector, e.g. upload the active document to the DAM.

Why one hits this state: The asset does not have files in the local cache (storage) and it’s not uploaded to the DAM.

Message in the system: 'Cannot find local content'.

The link to local content is broken and needs to be relinked through InDesign’s ‘Links’ panel before it is possible to take any action in the connector.

Available action: ‘Link to asset’

This action is only available on the individual link and the multi-selection bar

Red upload

Why one hits this state: The asset can no longer be found in the DAM system.

Message in the system: ‘The asset was deleted from the DAM'.

The asset is no longer in the DAM system and therefore cannot be relinked.

Available action: ‘Upload’

This action is only available if the original (source) quality still exists in your cache otherwise the link cannot be uploaded to the DAM on new.
