5.1 Manual synchronize the silo the first time
We have to do a full synchronization of the silo like this:
- Be logged as a user who is admin or member of the role sitecore\Digizuite DAM for Sitecore Administrators
- Go to the Content Editor
- Expand Sitecore Media Library → Digizuite
- Select your silo item and make sure that the you are on the tab Digizuite™ DAM FOR SITECORE.
- Click the big green "Synchronize Silo" button. If you do not do this, the silo will not appear in your DAM Explorer in Sitecore.
The first synchronization will be a full synchronization. Synchronization will take a while, depending on the amount of data you have in your DC.
The indexing is asynchronous and can take a while to complete. This is default Sitecore behavior.
The Synchronization is a two-phase process. The first phase synchronizes the items into Sitecore and the second phase is indexing the newly imported items for Sitecore.
