The crop tool in Media Manager 5 gives the user the possibility to use one of the pre-defined cropping forms, based either on aspect ratio (standard presets) or specific dimensions (corporate presets). The presets can be configured in the DAM CenterMedia Manager’s portal config manager.

In order to access preset configuration , navigate to System tools → ConfigManagerDigizuite™ Media Manager 5, and then select the version that you wish to apply the changes to. You will find Standard Presets and Corporate Presets under the tab Config parameters.

Standard presets:

The following fields define a new standard preset:

  • Row - it automatically sets the position of a new preset as next on the list, but the sequence can be edited later;

  • Name - the name of a new preset;

  • Description - the description of a new preset, displayed under the preset name in Media Manager's interface;

  • Aspect Ratio X and Aspect Ratio Ythe ratio between the width and height of a preset crop, e.g. 1:1 for a square.

Corporate presets:

for global presets, navigate to ‘Settings' (1) → ‘Portal config manager’ (2) → 'Crop presets’ (3).

In order to access preset configuration for site presets, navigate to ‘Settings' (1) → ‘Portal config manager’ (2) → (select version) (3) → 'Crop presets’ (4).

The user can now do one of the following:

  • Add a new preset (1)

  • Edit an existing preset (2)

  • Delete an existing preset (3).

The following fields define a new corporate preset:

  • Row - it automatically sets the position of a new preset as next on the list, but the sequence can be edited later;

  • Name 'Name' - the name of a new preset;

  • 'Description' - the description of a new preset, displayed under the preset name in Media Manager's interface;Width and Height - the specific dimensions of a preset crop in pixels, e.g. 1400 x 425 pixels for LinkedIn background.

  • ‘Width’ - the width of the preset

  • ‘Height’ - the height of the preset

  • ‘Type’ - aspect ratio or size in pixels.

In order to save a new a preset, hit the "Save" button‘Save’ button in the upper right corner.

It is possible to quickly find a specific preset by using the search box in the upper right corner of the page.
