Users can upload any assets from their computers by pressing the Upload from disk button. This will bring forth the upload dialog box. After finding and selecting the files, clicking Open will start the upload process.

Once the upload is finished, it will result in the appropriate message at the bottom of the application.

When the user activates Upload active document in the menu, and the asset is already checked out by another user, then Replace existing asset option is disabled, and by hovering the mouse pointer over the lock icon will reveal a tooltip showing who checked out the asset and when auto check-in will occur.

The following message will be displayed in case no assets or files are added in to the InDesign document:

If the user then inserts an assetassets/several assets files into the InDesign document, clicking the refresh button will result in it showing the inserted asset(s) in a list formassets/files in the list.

In the link manager, the user can see the table with all the inserted assets in the InDesign document.

  • “Status” - the current status of the link.
